Qazaq Joğary Lojasy
Duly constituted at Almaty on 12 November 2016, the Grand Lodge of Kazakhstan, Qazaq Joğary Lojasy, is the regular Grand Lodge of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Through the Grand Lodge of Russia, it holds its regularity from the Grande Loge Nationale Française and the United Grand Lodge of England, and every link in that chain remains active today.
In 2017 the Commission on Information for Recognition of the Conference of Grand Masters of Masons in North America found that the Grand Lodge of Kazakhstan "appears to meet the requirements for recognition". On 18 September 2026 the Grand Lodge of Russia reaffirmed in writing that it recognises the Grand Lodge of Kazakhstan, under its Grand Master, M.W. Bro. Sergey Kravchenko, as the regular, sovereign and independent Grand Lodge of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
It has held exclusive territorial jurisdiction in the Republic since its consecration, and six Lodges work under its obedience today. It adheres to the Ancient Landmarks and to the Basic Principles of 1929.

A Message from the Grand Master
A man comes to Freemasonry to become better than he is. He learns to listen before he speaks, to keep his word, to measure his own conduct and to help a Brother in need without being asked. He learns these things slowly, in the company of men he would never have met otherwise, and he carries them home to his family and his work.
Freemasonry has been handed down for three centuries, from Master to Apprentice, by men who never met and yet called each other Brother. Every Lodge in the world keeps a share of that inheritance, and every Lodge adds to it. Ten years ago, Brethren of many nations carried that light to Almaty and placed it in our hands. We have kept it since, and we pass it on.
Our Lodges meet in Almaty and in Astana, in Kazakh, in Russian and in English. Men of every faith sit together in them, and every one of them keeps the way he worships God as his own. We do not speak of religion or politics in the Lodge. We speak of how to live.
To the Brother who travels to our land, know that you will find here a Lodge where you are expected, and a seat that is yours. To the man of good will who wishes to know us, know that our doors are open to free men who seek the company of others like themselves, and that you will be received as a friend before you are ever asked to be a Brother.
M.W. Bro. Sergey Kravchenko
